Recommendation: A watersports impact cap that can be used for surfing, the Mystic Impact cap is close to being a good option. Unfortunately, it’s neither comfortable nor light due to its fairly rigid, high-density pieces of EVA. Fortunately, the EVA is thick; and thick, half inch EVA performs comparably to thin, quarter inch or less non-newtonian foams like D3O.
